If you’re an ESL student learning English, you may find it difficult to pronounce numbers with an American accent. In this lesson, we will practice pronouncing numbers with an American accent so that you can understand and be understood more easily.
The Basics of Pronouncing Numbers in the American Accent
Remember that numbers (the actual digits) are read as individual words, so sometimes it can be difficult to know how to pronounce them.
For example, “6” is pronounced as /SIHKS/ , “40” is pronounced as /FOR-dee/, and "0" is pronounced as /ZEEE-roh/.
